Privacy Policy
Short summary: Islamic Etiquettes is designed to preserve your privacy. The app does not collect or transmit personal data to our servers or to third parties. All user data, preferences, and saved items are stored locally on your device unless you explicitly export or share them.
1. Data we collect
We intentionally limit data collection. Islamic Etiquettes does not collect personal data such as your name, email, contacts, or location. The app only uses local storage on your device for the purposes described below.
- Local preferences: theme choice, display settings, and reading preferences stored on-device.
- Saved items: any etiquettes, bookmarks, or notes you save within the app are stored on your device.
- Diagnostics: the app does not include remote crash reporting, analytics, or third-party telemetry by default.
2. On-device storage & backups
Saved data remains on your device. If you create a device backup (for example via your mobile OS backup service), saved app data may be included in that backup according to your device settings. We do not access or manage device backups.
If you manually export data or share content from the app (for example, export a JSON file or share text by email), that action is initiated by you and the resulting file or message is handled by the sharing / destination service you choose.
3. Permissions
The app requests only the minimum permissions required for its functionality. Typical permissions (if any) are limited to local file storage access when you explicitly export or import files. We do not request location, contacts, camera, microphone, or similar personal permissions unless you use an optional feature that clearly asks for them.
4. Third-party services
Islamic Etiquettes does not embed third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or trackers in the default distribution. If you opt into optional features that integrate with external services (such as manual sharing via email, or cloud sync if added in a future update), those specific features will be documented and an explicit consent will be requested before use.
5. Security
We follow best practices to protect locally stored data: data saved in the app is stored using platform-recommended storage APIs. However, device-level security (screen lock, OS updates, and backups) is also important for protecting your data. We recommend enabling device security features.
6. Children’s privacy
The app is suitable for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal data without consent, please contact us and we will help remove the data from the app where possible.
7. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA guidance)
Because Islamic Etiquettes does not collect or store personal data on our servers, typical rights requests (access, deletion, portability) only apply to data stored locally on your device. To remove data from the app, you can clear the app’s storage or uninstall the app. If you need assistance or have a specific request, contact us at the address below and we will advise with appropriate steps.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If there are material changes that affect how data is collected or shared, we will provide notice within the app and update the Effective Date above. Continued use of the app after updates indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
